Red Kite feeding

Some photos from today's feeding session, about 300 birds visit daily in the summer and up to 600 in the winter. In the mid 1990's the were only 6 birds.

Rhaydar and rain

It forcast to rain today and it did until just after lunch, so we stayed in the van. Went for a stroll along the river into town this afternoon and found this waterfall. Hopefully we'll see the Kites being fed tomorrow.

Llangullo

Lovely stay in the carpark of the Greyhound pub last night. Great open mike sessions from some very talented people. Real ale, real fire, real people but no phone or WiFi signals.

Train to Porthmadog

As it's on our doorstep we feel we must take a trip on the stream train. It runs along the valley below Snowdon into Porthmadoc. We manage to get seats in the open carriage so tried to take some photos of the scenery. And some of Snowdon

Slate country

A quiet morning, then a walk into the village and out on the Pilgrims/Slate path. He are a few slate related photos taken during today's 3.5 mile walk.
