Tuesday 9th May

Travelling on, from Rainton to Alnwick, still a very cold wind.
Thirsk was our first stop, nice little shops and an independent cinema.

The journey under the Tyne tunnel was uneventful, but the roadworks proved testing. But we made it along the coast and had a nice stop in Amble with a marina and interesting seaside flats.

Dispite the idiosyncrasies of our SATNAV we managed to find Alnwick Rugby club and our campsite for the next few days. Only a mile from town, but we are the only campers.
